The project 'Mainstreaming ecosystem services into country's sectoral and macroeconomic policies and programmes' was a project that was implemented through the Regional Centre for Central Asia in Kazakhstan, and the Al Akhawayn University in Morocco. The project was coordinated by the Ecosystem Services Economics (ESE) Unit of UNEP.
The project formed part of the Green Growth umbrella project, which Dr Braby evaluated separately (more found here).
Dr Braby was commissioned to conduct the Terminal Evaluation of this project; this included a mission to Morocco to conduct interviews with the project team and stakeholders. Interviews with Kazakhstan team took place via Skype and through a questionnaire.
The lessons learned through the project will be shared in a two page brief once the report has been finalised. It is currently under review by the project stakeholders.
